Managing Director – Investments - Moors & Cabot, Inc.

Jim joined Moors & Cabot, Inc. in January 2006 after a distinguished 35-year career as a Senior Vice President at Shearson, Dean Witter Reynolds, and Advest, Inc. He is a graduate of Boston University's School of Management and the New York Institute of Finance.

For eight years during the 1970’s, Jim was the Financial Editor of the Boston Globe radio station WHYN in Springfield, Massachusetts during morning drive time. He then served as the Financial Editor, doing Editorial commentary for 20 years, on WGGB-TV-ABC television, with the nightly anchor news team. Jim’s teaching expertise on the air and his history of working with “Mr. & Mrs. America” has brought him national attention several times within the industry. Jim has been featured twice in recent years in the monthly “On Wall Street” industry magazine. Throughout his career, Jim has been a featured speaker for local and national groups and organizations – including giving the keynote address several years ago at the industries’ Municipal Bond Associations annual conclave held at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Jim is a fixed income specialist and concentrates 70% of his expertise in the corporate and tax-free municipal bond area. His motto: “There is no substitute for tax-free income.”
